Patrick (Pat) Jerome Hassing

Patrick (Pat) Jerome Hassing, age 70, of Winnebago, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019, at his home in rural Winnebago.
Visitation time will be from 12:00pm-2:00pm Monday, June 17, 2019 at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior Winnebago. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the church, with Rev. Pat was born May 5, 1949, in Winnebago, the son of Jerome and Florence (Millmann) Hassing. He married Deb Kastning on November 12,1971 at the Fieldon Trinity Lutheran Church. To this union were born 2 daughters Heidi and Ali.

Pat worked for the Willette Seed Farm for over 35 years whom he considered family. He also raised many of his own animals at home and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horses, car shows, old country music, camping and just anything to do with the outdoors. He was a member of the Lura Lake Sportsman Club, and the Blue Earth Historical Society. He was a man who always had an opinion and wasn’t afraid to share it with you.

Pat is survived by his wife, Deb Hassing of Winnebago, daughters; Heidi Denn of Laverne, Ali (Jeff Larson) Hassing of Russell, mother, Florence Hassing of Fairmont, brother, Dennis (Patty) Hassing of Amboy, sisters; Julie Hassing Kuehl of Winnebago, Jackie (Scott) Wacholz of Duluth, granddaughter, Cheyenne Denn, grandson Austin Denn, great grandchildren, Brantley & Sophia Swenson, and many nieces & nephews and his beloved Snickers (Doodles) .

Pat was preceded in death by his father Jerome, sisters; Jeanne Lasch, and Jeanette Nagel.
