Mary Lou Williams, age 88, formerly of Amboy, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Faribault Hospital.

Services honoring Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11 AM at Spencer Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, with Pastor Guy Sederski officiating. A time for visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery in Amboy.

 Mary was born on November 19, 1935 in Lake Crystal to Frank and Grace (Hoeft) Austin. She attended school in Lake Crystal. On November 28, 1953 Mary was united in marriage to the love of her life, Ronald Jenkin Williams. The couple was blessed with five children. They celebrated 50 years of marriage. Mary was a waitress at Hilltop Tavern in Mankato. She assisted her husband's business ownership, Union 76. Mary later went on to work for Hager Manufacturing in Mankato, sanding cabinets until her retirement in 1986.

 Mary cherished her time spent with family and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping on the weekends locally with their friends. During retirement, Ron and Mary Lou built woodcrafts, putting puzzles together, playing solitaire and watching game shows. She loved caring for her flower garden.

 Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Rick (Kim) Williams of Summerville, SC, and Robert (Kris) Williams of Eagle Lake; daughter, Laura (Tom) Wilker of Faribault; daughter-in-law, Mary Williams of Apple Valley; sister, Bonnie Brummond of Mesa, AZ; eight grandchildren, Mike and Steve Williams, Jason Williams, Jessica Kotek, Allison Beaman, Amanda Mitchell, John and Kari Swenstad, and several great grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Williams (2005); daughter, Mary Ann Williams (1996); son, Randy Williams (2019); parents, Frank and Grace Austin; and her siblings, Delores Sloan, Donna Bachman, Gene Austin, Ray Austin, and Roy Austin.
