MaryAnn Owen, age 86, of Winnebago, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18th, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 19th, 2022 at Foundations Bible Church (formerly First Baptist Church) with Rev. Luke Stevens-Royer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, September 19th, at the church. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Winnebago. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
MaryAnn was born February 4th, 1936 in Winnebago, Minnesota to Edward and Grace (Martin) Ehret. She attended and graduated from Winnebago High School. On June 4th, 1955, MaryAnn married Larry Owen. Larry & MaryAnn made their home in Winnebago where MaryAnn worked at First National Bank, for over forty years. During that time, they were blessed with three children, Lori, Terri, and Tom. MaryAnn enjoyed playing cards with friends, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending many of their school and sporting events. She especially enjoyed yearly summer vacations with her entire family in northern Minnesota.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Larry, of 67 years, of Winnebago. Daughter Lori (Brian) Slama, of Winnebago, daughter Terri (Randy) Hoppe, of Le Sueur, and son Tom (Karla) Owen of Winnebago. Grandchildren Timothy (Meaghan) Slama, Amy Slama, Emily (Tanner) Nepp, Ellen (Curtis) Roiger, Owen (Amanda) Poole, Jordan Hoppe, Kathie (RJ) Linder, Bob (Karrie) Owen and 15 great-grandchildren. Sister Jeanne (Dick) Kortuem of Winnebago and brother Larry (Kay) Ehret of Rose Creek, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-laws and wives: Bud (Doris) Owen, Tub (Deloris) Owen, Jerry (Ev) Owen, and Cliff (Dagmar) Owen.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the doctors and nurses for their loving care and kindness given to MaryAnn and her family.
