Lana Jean Hynes

Lana Jean Hynes, age 65, of Winnebago passed away peacefully Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Waters Edge in Mankato after several years of kidney disease. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Friday at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago and one hour before the service at the church. Funeral Service will be held at 2pm, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Winnebago. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Lana was born November 9, 1952 in Winnebago to Merle and Mary (Wyland) Hynes. She was a Winnebago High school graduate and a lifetime resident of Winnebago. Lana was a regular caregiver for her nieces and nephew. In later years Lana assisted her father in her mother's care. Small town life suited Lana, as she was blessed with many kind and caring friends. Lana especially enjoyed Rummage sales and Thrift Store shopping on outings with her friends. She loved collecting dolls and was an expert family historian. Lana is survived by her siblings, Susan Hynes of Mankato, Dr. Roger (Nancy) Hynes of Fargo, Timothy (Judi) Hynes of Winnebago; nieces, Elizabeth, Emily and Caroline; nephews, Johnathon, Cory, and Alex; and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be given to the donor’s preference.
