Eileen Donna (Wendt) Riley, 84, of Amboy, died on January 16, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:30 am at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Amboy with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer Jr. officiating. Visitation will be at the Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, MN on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm and one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Pleasant View cemetery immediately following the service. Eileen was born June 5, 1934 to Arnold and Annie (Wilde) Wendt. She attended the Oliver Country School and then graduated from Welcome Memorial High School. Eileen married Maurice Riley on September 9, 1955. Together they farmed the family farm for many years. She also held jobs at Vernon Center State Bank, Norman’s Cafe, Amboy American Legion, and WFS, Blue Earth County Farm Services, Nuway and Caseys in Amboy. Eileen enjoyed doing Hardanger, bowling, flowers, playing cards, Midnight Mother’s Club, and spending time with her generations of kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eileen is survived by her children: Michael (Cathy) Riley, Amboy, MN, Lynne (Ken) Lentz, Amboy, MN, Lori (Chuck) Miedtke, Mankato, MN, Mitchell (Christina) Riley, Worland, Wy; Grandchildren; Dusty (Tina) Riley, Ross Riley, Abigail Lentz, Morgan (Andrew) Karels, Emily Riley, Riley Schock, Kadyn, Brooklyn, and Colyn Riley: step garndchildren, Liz and Luke, Great-grandchildren: Alexis, Greyson, Madelyn, Corbin, Mason, Evie, and Liam, and brother, Lewellyn Wendt, Amboy, MN. in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Maurice, a daughter, brother Marlyn Wendt and her in-laws.
