Edward Patterson

Edward Patterson, age 79 of Delavan passed away at his home Tuesday April 18, 2023. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Ed was born to George and Agnes (Karels), April 12, 1944 in Winnebago. He lived most of his life in the Delavan area working different jobs as a welder and in maintenance. He had a short stint in the Navy before returning to the area. On February 11, 1967 he married the love of his life, Janet Petersen. Together, they had one son Gregory.

Ed was active in the Delavan American Legion, volunteered for the Delavan Fire Dept for over 20 years and was the current acting president of DHS in Delavan. When he wasn’t busy with those activities, he enjoyed bird watching, photography, sports and spending time with his family up north.

He is survived by his son Greg of Delavan and special friends, Steve and Shelly Theobald of Huntley.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife and 2 brothers, Dale (Susie) and Philip.
