Bonnie R. (Watts) Huset, 86, of Fairmont, and formerly of Winnebago, passed away Thursday, December 21, at Goldfinch Estates Memory Care Facility. Visitation time will be from 2:00pm-3:00pm Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago. Graveside services will be 3:00pm on Tuesday, at Riverside Cemetery in Winnebago, with Rev. William Sabol officiating. A “Celebration” will follow from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Bonnie was born to James and Mildred (Myers) Watts on October 6, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois. The family later moved to Osage, Iowa where she graduated from high school in 1949. She attended college at Francis Shimer College in Mount Vernon, Illinois before uniting in marriage to Merlyn Huset on June 18, 1950. She worked at the Mitchell County Assessor’s office and the ASCS office in Osage, Iowa until moving to New Richland, Minnesota in 1954 and then Winnebago, Minnesota in 1956. She worked at Vets Glass Company, Bud’s Grocery, Mauris Accounting, Winnebago School District, the city of Winnebago and Johanson Law firm before retiring in 1993. Bonnie’s family would like to acknowledge her care givers and the staff at Goldfinch Estates and to thank everyone for all you did to make her time there as comfortable as possible and for always being there for us. Survivors include her son David (Cindy) Huset of Fairmont, and daughter Debra Huset of Burnsville, MN. She is also survived by her brother William (Claudia) Watts of Vancouver, WA, daughter in-law Cheryl (Jim) Ferguson of Canby, MN, grandsons Sean (Jennifer) Huset of Bloomington, Tim Huset and Jayden Huset both of Fairmont. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents James and Mildred Watts, husband Merlyn Huset, sons Daryl Huset and Douglas Huset, grandson Matthew Huset and granddaughter Stephanie Shupick.
