Betty Jo Gronewold

Betty Jo Gronewold was born on July 16, 1955 to Les & JoAnn (Blekestad) Anderson in Madelia MN. She passed away on October 15, 2021 at her home after a battle with cancer.

Betty graduated in 1974 from St. James, MN her main career throughout her life was as a CNA. She worked at Truman nursing home, Madelia nursing home, Parker Oaks Care Center in Winnebago. She also cooked at many places as her career. Betty enjoyed shooting darts, drinking beer, casinos, fishing and most recently making diamond painting for her friends and loved ones. Betty was a very happy, loving, caring person that always had a smile on her face. She was one of a kind and the life of the parties.

Left to cherish her memories are 3 daughters, Robin (Randy Olson), Nicole Gleason (Jeff Olson), Angela Vosberg (Clint Farley) of Winnebago. Her 6 grandchildren, Dustin Anderson, Emily Anderson, Danniel Gleason, Jayden Vosberg, Kolten Vosberg, Dulane Olson and 1 great granddaughter Luna Anderson. Her parents Les & JoAnn Anderson of Madelia her 4 sisters Peggy (Arden Keech), Debby (Mike Schoen), Doris Dougherty, Dee (Wayne Hartwig). She is proceeded in death by her grandparents Evan & Bessie Blekestad, Lenard & Madge Anderson.

Celebration of life will be held at the VFW in St. James MN from 1-4 on Saturday, Oct 30th. Burial at another date with immediate family. Betty will be laid to rest at Albion Lutheran Church in Godahl, MN.
