Lifelong rural Winnebago resident Bailey Willard Blair, 95, died peacefully May 22. His Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 9 at Bass Lake Community Church, rural Winnebago, the Rev. Kathy Blair officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 8 at the Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, MN. Bailey was born September 14, 1922 to Frank Willard and Emma Belle (Cook) Blair in Fairbault County. He attended primary school at the Blair Country School and graduated from Winnebago High School in 1941. He married Marjorie Ruth Pool on November 20, 1943 at Basey Church, Winnebago, MN. Bailey was a member of Bass Lake Community Church his entire life where he served on the board of trustees. He was active in Masons, Farm Management Group, and the Winnebago Elevator Board. His interests were wood working and collecting Red Wing Pottery and Candlewick glassware. Bailey is survived by his three children: Adele Kiehm, Winnebago, Gwendolyn (Gregg) Olson, Amboy and John (Kathy) Blair, Winnebago; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife Marjorie in 2002; son-in-law Verlyn Kiehm in 2008.
