Ardis M. Adams, age 79 of Winnebago, MN, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024 at Lakeview Nursing Home in Fairmont. The family will have a private celebration of life. Online condolences can be left at www.spencerowen.com
Born on October 14, 1945, to Ellsworth and Eleanor (Klockmann) Haase, in Blue Earth, Ardis led a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Growing up in Elmore and graduating from Elmore High School, Ardis found love at a young age when she began dating her high school sweetheart, Gary, who drove a yellow 1958 Ford convertible that everyone was envious of. Their love story blossomed, and they were united in marriage on October 24, 1964. Later they were blessed with their son Scott.
Together, Ardis and Gary resided in Blue Earth until 1993 when they settled in Winnebago, where they continued to build a life filled with joy and adventure. Ardis had a passion for traveling, especially to Branson and New Mexico, where she cherished exploring new places and creating unforgettable experiences. She found solace in the pages of her favorite books, nourished her faith, enjoyed arranging flowers and participating in the alter guild at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and showering affection on her beloved pets.
Throughout her career, Ardis dedicated many years to Interstate Power and later Blue Earth Light and Water until her well-deserved retirement in 2011. Her commitment, hard work, and warm personality touched the lives of many in her community, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Ardis is survived by her loving husband, Gary, son Scott and grandson Brody. Her sister Marvel (Larry) Betchwars, sisters-in-law; Sandra Walton, Pam (Paul) Green, Sarah Wilson and Diane Kelder as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gary’s parents, Duane and Ginger Adams, and brothers-in-law; Dennis, Jim and Kevin Adams.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Paul Lutheran Church-Blue Earth organ fund in Ardis’ name would be appreciated.
