Elsie Ann Miller

Elsie Miller age 102, of Winnebago, formerly of St. Paul, died on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Parker Oaks in Winnebago. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Parker Oaks in Winnebago at 2:00 PM with Rev. Vic Vriesen officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery, St. Paul. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago is assisting the family with arrangements. Elsie Miller was born on February 25, 1908 at St. Paul, MN the daughter of Emil and Anna (Erdmann) Pankonin. Elsie was raised and educated in St. Paul, graduating from Mechanic Arts High School in 1926. In 1938 she married Fritz Miller in St. Paul. She worked for West Publishing Company for over 30 years. Elsie enjoyed traveling and spent many winters in Florida. Elsie moved to the Garden Court Apartments in Winnebago in 1998 where she enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. In 2006 she moved to Parker Oaks where she enjoyed the staff and the other residents. She was known for her sense of humor and her love of chocolate. Memorials are preferred to Interfaith Caregivers. Elsie is survived by her son, Richard (Maryjean) Miller of Winnebago; granddaughter, Jennifer (Cody) Kevan and their children, Dylan, Torri, and Taylor all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; granddaughter, Wendy (B.J.) Stegman and their children, Bobby and Christian all of Sherman, Texas; granddaughter, Rhonda (Bret) Osborn and their children Kimberly Buth, Levi, Kaden and Trevor all of Winnebago. Elsie is also survived by many friends and relatives including Bill Rasmussen. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Arthur Miller, 6 brothers, 1 sister and 1 great granddaughter.
