Amboy April 30, 2010 William “Bill” Stock William “Bill” Stock age 83, of Amboy died on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Immanuel St. Josephs Hospital, Mankato. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Amboy with Rev. Jean Sidner officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Amboy. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the United Methodist Church in Amboy and continuing one hour prior to services on Thursday. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago is assisting the family with arrangements. www.spencerowen.com Bill was born on December 31, 1926 at Dumont Iowa, the son of William and Bertha (Thieben) Stock. Bill was raised and educated in Iowa. He Graduated from Ackley High School in 1944. After High School he attended Cedar Falls College graduating in 1948. He then attended The University of Denver where he received his Masters. In 1951 he was united in Marriage to Kathryn “Kay” Knight. Bill taught at the Mankato State University as an Accountant Professor for over 35 years. Bill was an avid fisherman and hunter, he also enjoyed bird watching. Bill is survived by his wife, Kay Stock of Amboy; sons, James Stock of Amboy; Duane (Kim) Stock of Amboy; 3 grandchildren, Jayson, Noah and Morgan. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
