Franklin “Bill” Beck
F. “Bill” Beck, age 75, of Granada, died Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Mapleton Community Home. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, with Pastor Ron Moffitt officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Bill was born March 1, 1934, in Easton, MN, the son of George and Marie (Graf) Beck. He was raised and educated in Easton, MN. He was married to Nancy Austin and Dolores Furo.
He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Bill was a mechanic and had worked at many different jobs in the Granada and Winnebago areas. He loved spending time outdoors and raising horses, geese, chickens and his dogs. He also enjoyed his vegetable gardens and fishing.
Bill is survived by his son, Dave (Darci) Beck of Elmore; his daughters, Acqunetta Beck of Rake, Iowa; Corrine Beck of Minneapolis; Amy Beck of Granada; his sisters, Nadene Weerts of Winnebago; Jackie (Dale) Lloyd of Winnebago; Patricia (Don) Hoppe of Davenport, Iowa, 5 grandchildren: Matt, Ashley, Colby, Jesse & Chance and 1 great granddaughter, Leah Kleven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy in 1980, sisters: Avis Kinney, Beverly Kranebell, Margaret Merson, Connie Miner & Acqunetta Holiday brothers: George & David Beck and infant brothers, Donald, Alvine & Robert Beck.
