Adeline “Sally” Gertrude Howe
Adeline “Sally” Howe, age 82, of St. Cloud, formerly of Winnebago died on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at her home in St. Cloud. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. Ronald Jobe officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home, Winnebago and one hour prior to services at the Church on Friday.
Sally was born on April 4, 1927 at Blue Earth, Minnesota, the daughter of Gustav and Pauline (Yochem) Steinke. Sally was raised and educated in the Blue Earth area. She worked as a nanny for many families for a few years. In December 1946 she married Glen Howe at Delavan. The two moved around the area before settling in Winnebago in 1947 where they raised four children. Sally recently moved to St. Cloud in 2005. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, LWML and enjoyed gardening, sewing, dancing, crocheting and being outdoors.
Sally is survived by her son, Steve (Suzette) Howe of Mankato; daughter, Sue (Terry) Guanella of Amery, WI; son, Ron (Carolyn) Howe of Winnebago; daughter, Sandy (Gregg) Engdahl of St. Cloud; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; husband; Glen in 2003.
