Winnebago December 17, 2009 Cleo Dean McCreary Cleo McCreary, age 81, of Winnebago, died Thursday, December 17, 2009, at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. Ronald Jobe officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation will be on Sunday December 20, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 PM, at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago and continuing one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Cleo was born July 27, 1928, in Delavan Township, the son of Garth and Edna (Parcel) McCreary. He graduated from Delavan High School in 1947. He later served 2 years in the Korean Conflict. Cleo was united in marriage to Patricia J. Jensen on August 12, 1952. Cleo worked many years as a self employed trucker. He operated a fertilizer plant for Central Exchange, American Cynamid and Cargill Inc. Cleo also farmed for many years. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Cleo is survived by his wife, Patti McCreary of Winnebago; twin sons, Garry (Cheryl) McCreary of Plymouth; Larry (Jan) McCreary of Faribault; daughters, Paula (John) Lubitz of Colorado Springs CO; Pamela (Gary) Young of Eden Prairie. He is also survived by 7 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and one great grandchild Cleo was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 1 sister.
