Robert “Bobbie” Loren Lindgren
Robert “Bobbie” Loren Lindgren, age 85, of Winnebago, died Monday, September 28, 2009, at his Residence. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at 2:30PM at Spencer Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, with Rev. Vic Vrisen officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday.
Bob was born July 29, 1924, at Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Robert and Olga (Gregenson) Lindgren. He moved to Winnebago with this mother and then to Park Rapids, Minnesota in 1929 with his parents Donald and Olga Dean where they operated a resort until 1933 and then they moved back to Winnebago. Bob attended Winnebago High School and later worked at Stokely Van Kamp Canning Company for many years and then at Electro Craft Company in Winnebago for a few more years until he retired in 1985. During this time he also served his country for two years in Korea. He met and later married Sandra Siem on January 5, 1998 at Las Vegas, Nevada. They resided at his home in Winnebago. He loved music and liked to dance. Bob also enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sandra Lindgren of Winnebago, stepsons, Rick (Michele) Siem of Platteville, Colorado; Randy Siem; three step grandsons and their wife’s; one step great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Barbra Denson of Appleton, Wisconsin and her daughters; one sister-in-law, Celeste Lindgren, and other relatives
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, J. Raymond Lindgren, and other relatives
