Rev. William Calvert Bidwell

Rev. William Calvert Bidwell, age 90, of Winnebago, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center of Blue Earth, MN. Funeral Service will be at 11AM on Saturday, May 27 at Berean Baptist Church of Winnebago, MN with Pastor Rodney Yates officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7PM on Friday, May 26 at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home, Winnebago, MN, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be 12PM on Tuesday, May 30 at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.spencerowen.com. Bill was honored to have served as a Marine during WWII. Later, Bill and his wife, Carol, founded the Berean Baptist Church where he pastored for 24 years. Bill’s greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and especially, his wife of 54 years, Carol. Bill is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Corey (Jean), Mikel (Ruth), Cherlyn (Luke) Lukenoff, Merilyn (Rodney) Yates, Carolyn (Terry) Hedderman, Nathan (Lisa), and Jared; 27 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his infant sons, Laren and Adam; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers. A special thanks to the staff of St. Luke’s Lutheran Care Center for the care given to Bill.
