Kevin Douglas Johnson, age 32, of St. Paul, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at United Hospital in St. Paul. Memorial Service will be at 11:30AM on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Breakthrough Ministry located at the Historic Wesley Center, 101 E. Grant St., Minneapolis, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date at Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago, MN.
Kevin was born on November 11, 1984 in Shakopee, MN to Richard Johnson and Zoeta Anderson. He attended schools in Winnebago, Parkers Prairie, Blue Earth, and Maple River, MN. Kevin studied Mobile App Development at the Minneapolis Community Technical College.
Kevin joined Breakthrough Ministries in 2009, where the main focus of the church’s ministerial work is serving and helping the underprivileged of the Twin Cities. Kevin became an officer of the church after he finished his training at the Evangelical Ministry Training Outreach Program offered through Breakthrough Ministries.
Kevin loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his friends. They fixed and tinkered on many cars together. One of Kevin’s favorite hobbies was to develop computer programs. Kevin also loved listening to music.
Kevin is survived by his father, Rick (Jo) Johnson of Winnebago, MN; mother, Zoe (Michael) Klimek of Parkers Prairie, MN; sister, Kateri (Dillon) Johanson of Britt, IA; step-brother, James (Mary) Klimek of Cambridge, MN; step-sister, Ashley (Eric) Klimek of Cambridge, MN; grandparents, Jim and Carol Klimek of Parkers Prairie, MN, Papa Larry and Ellen Welch of Parkers Prairie, MN, Carol Anderson of Golden Valley, MN, Barb and Chuck Schaible of Delavan, MN, and C.W. and Patty Burkett of Apache Junction, AZ; nephews, Jethro, Thomas, Silas, Maximus, and Stewart; and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Kevin is preceded in death by his grandparents; Sandy Welch, Don Anderson, and Ronald “Red” Johnson; uncle, Scott Anderson, and cousin, Josh Johnson.
