Minnie Gumto

Memorial services for Minnie I. Gumto, 104, Blue Earth, MN will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Health Care Center, Blue Earth, at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will be held at the Jeffers Cemetery, Jeffers, MN. Minnie passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at St. Luke’s. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services at St. Lukes. Minnie Ida Jensen was born in Wabasso, MN on December 30, 1912 to Walter and Maria Jensen. Minnie was educated at the Wabasso Public School. Minnie and Leslie Gumto were united in marriage on February 24, 1931. Their marriage was blessed with six children, Robert, James, Dianne, Jean, Kay and Gary. Minnie devoted her life to caring for her family and working at the family businesses. She lived in Winnebago for over 50 years. They spent many happy summers at their lake home on Lake Shetek. Minnie was a life-long member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed many volunteer hours with her church family. Minnie is survived by daughters Jean (Clair) Thelin, San Diego, CA and Kay (Richard) Adolphson, Hudson, WI; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and loyal friend Jan Butler. She was preceded in death by husband Leslie, son Gary, daughter-in-law Linda, and young sons Robert and James, and infant daughter Dianne. www.spencerowen.com
