MAPLETON August 15, 2009 Gladys E. Fuller Gladys E. Fuller, age 92, of Amboy, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the Mapleton Community Home. Memorial service will be on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Amboy, with Pastor Michael Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, August 21, 2009 at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago and continuing one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Amboy on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Gladys was born on March 17, 1917 in rural Winnebago to Harold “Tad” and Mable (Stroble) Leeman. She attended school in Winnebago. She was united in Marriage to Harry Fuller on March 23, 1935. The couple made their home in the Amboy area and Gladys was a homemaker for her family. She was an active, baptized, member of the First Presbyterian Church in Amboy where she was involved in teaching Sunday School, a member of the Presbyterian Women, and she was an active participant in the Presbyterian Hobby Festival in past years. She also belonged to the Mother’s Club and Amboy Extension Club. She and Harry spent many winters in Arizona. She had an extensive costume collection which she donated to the Minnesota State University Drama Dept. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, oil painting, needlework, quilting and making crafts. She also enjoyed volunteering at the MRCI Thrift Shop in later years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Gladys is survived by two sons, Verne (Roxanna) Fuller of Tucson, Arizona, Dennis (Carol) Fuller of Amboy, six grandchildren, Brion (Lisa) Fuller of Tucson, AZ, Lisa (Robert) Peterson of Vernon Center, Amy (Troy) Bramer of Amboy, Jennifer Fuller of N. Mankato, Teresa (Steve) Mosel of Lake Crystal and Michelle (Shawn) VanMeveren of Wabasso. Also surviving are 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren a brother-in-law, Jim Nelson of Dilworth, cousins, nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harry, an infant son, three sisters and one brother.
