Gladys Annie Kaduce

Gladys Kaduce, 95, Winnebago, MN passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2016. Funeral services will be 10:30am Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Lutheran Church of Our Saviors in Winnebago. Interment will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Amboy, MN. Visitation -will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home from 5-7:00 pm and one hour before the services in the church Wednesday. Gladys Annie Clark was born on August 2, 1920 in London, England to James and Annie (Hill) Clark. She was united in marriage to Victor Kaduce in England on December 11, 1943. In 1946 Gladys and her son Victor, Jr. moved to the US to be with Victor to farm north of Beauford, MN. One more son and two daughters were born to this union. They farmed for several years in rural Amboy before owning and operating Vic’s café in Winnebago. Gladys went on to cook at and operate several other local establishments. After retiring Vic and Gladys became winter Texans and Gladys continued going south after Vic’s passing in 1999. She enjoyed the annual get together of other English War Brides who she met when she first came to Minnesota. She was a lifelong member of the Winnebago Women’s Legion Auxiliary and a member of LWML. Gladys loved to knit, fish, and coffee with her friends. Gladys is survived by her children, Vic (Lynda) Kaduce, Vernon Center, MN, Bob (Jan) Kaduce, Winnebago, MN, Laura (Tom) Krumholz, Winnebago, MN, Eileen (Kevin) Donnelly, Fairmont, MN; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, George (Kay) Clark, Round Rock, TX; 2 brothers-in-law, Ervin (Verna) Kaduce, St. Peter, MN, Junior (Jean) Kaduce, Amboy, MN; one sister-in-law, Irene Tyson of Fairmont; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Vic; 3 grandchildren; 1 sister and 4 brothers. She will be greatly missed by all. www.spencerowen.com
