Miss Wilma M. Wedekemper
Wilma M. Wedekemper, age 98, of Winnebago, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at the United Hospital in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 03, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at the First Presbyterian Church in Winnebago, with Rev. Michael Roys officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation time will be one hour prior to services at the church on Friday Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago is in charge of the arrangements.
Wilma was born October 23, 1910, at Shattuc, IL, the daughter of William and Katherine (Ziems) Wedekemper. Wilma moved to Winnebago as a child and graduated from Winnebago High School in 1928. She attended Mankato Commercial College for one year before working at the Winnebago Creamery. Wilma was then the office manager at Interstate Power Company for 30 years.
Wilma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnebago, and past member of the church choir, treasurer, elder, Next to New, and a U.P.W. Wilma was also a bridge club member, Twins fan, and enjoyed baking.
Wilma is survived by her two nieces, Debra (Clint) Kehoe of Eden Prairie, Diane (Juan) Moreno of Roseville and her 2 great nieces, Katherine and Anna Moreno and 1 great great niece, Natalia Aranda.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Ollie Bjorkman.
