Mrs. Avis Marie Butler, age 87, of Winnebago, died Friday, February 27, 2009, at theUnited Hospital in Blue Earth.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 04, 2009, at 11:00 AM, at Rosehill Cemetery, rural Winnebago with Rev. William C. Bidwell officiating. Visitation time will be from 4 7p.m. Tuesday at Spencer Owen Funeral Home in Winnebaago.
She was born January 03, 1922, at Winnebago, the daughter of Homer & Rose(Niord) Parsons.
Avis was a graduate of Winnebago High School. On July 14, 1940 she married Eldon G. Butler. They lived in Winnebago where they owned and operated the Sinclair Gas Station for 25 years. Avis also worked for Ka-Winn in Winnebago. After retiring they moved to Hackensack in 1985 and returned to Winnebago in 2004.
Avis is survived by her husband, Eldon Butler of Winnebago, her Sons, Chuck(Rita) Butler of Burnsville, Roger(Sue) Butler of Zimmerman, her Daughter in Law, Joann Butler of Switzerland, FL. 7 Grandchildren, , 15 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son(Myron”Mike”), two brothers(Melvin & Lloyd), and two sisters(Nellie & Beth).
