Helen Irene (Lien) Kleen of Albert Lea, formerly of Amboy passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Prairie Senior Cottages in Albert Lea, MN. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2015, 11:00 AM at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 121 First Ave SE, Winnebago, with Rev. Joel Lintner officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in rural Amboy. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com Helen was born to Orin and Lillian (Pomroy) Lien on May 4, 1929. She graduated from Winnebago High School in 1947. She and Louie Kleen were married December 28, 1948 in Winnebago. She and Louie farmed in the Amboy area until they retired to an apartment in Amboy. She loved the farm and worked hand in hand with Louie. She also enjoyed playing cards and going to rummage sales, but best of all she enjoyed going “up north” with friends and family. Fishing was another of her favorite activities, along with family gatherings. Mourning her loss are her sisters; Jan Butler, Blue Earth, MN, Pat Goodwin, Maple Grove and Mary Rocheford, Zimmerman, MN, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie in 2010, her parents, and sisters Marjorie Zenk and Joann Snyder.
