Dorothy “Dort” Mae Greger, age 84, of Winnebago, died Friday, April 3, 2015, at St Lukes in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at 10:30 AM, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. William Sabol officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation time will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday April 7, 2015, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago, and 1 hour before the service at the church. She was born September 19, 1930, in Madelia, the daughter of Harry and Hannah (Haukvik) Madsen. She graduated Valedictorian from Winnebago High School in 1948, and then attended the Commercial College in Mankato. On June 3, 1950 she married Francis “Fran” Greger at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago. She worked at Family Chiropractic in Winnebago for many years.
Dorothy was active in her church, loved to play cards, and visit with friends. Dort and Fran also loved to travel to Branson, MO to visit their grandkids and see the shows.
She is survived by her husband Francis “Fran” of Winnebago, daughter, Julie (Tim) Fie of Mounds View, MN, daughter, Diane (Dennis "Jake") Jacobson of Springfield, MO, sister, Jean (Claus “Jr”) Kaduce of Amboy, 6 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother, Harold Madsen.
