Mildred Yaeger, age 85, of Amboy, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 06, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Amboy, with Rev. Rudolph Maurer officiating. Burial will be in Pleasantview Cemetery, Amboy. Mildred was born March 13, 1928, in Long Beach, California, the daughter of Clifford and Hilda (Schwieder) Brush. She was raised in Amboy where she graduated from Amboy High School in 1946. She was married to Donald Yaeger on November 8, 1946 in Amboy. The couple farmed SW of Amboy for many years. Mildred was involved in all aspects of farm life and enjoyed raising their family. Family gatherings and events were of great importance for her. She also enjoyed bird watching, playing cards with friends, volunteering at Parker Oaks and being a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church where she was part of the ladies guild. She was a great friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Mildred is survived by her daughters: Roberta (Al) Segar of Mankato, Sharon Erickson of Rushford, Marilyn Ruzich of Maplewood, her son, Alan (Sheila) Yaeger of Amboy, her brother, Donald (Bonnie) Brush of Cheyenne, Wyoming, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 61 years,
Donald in 2007, brother, Robert Brush, sons-in-law, Gary Kotzmacher & Paul Erickson, sister-in-law, Hazel Brush and brother-in-law, Robert Yaeger.
