Robert (Bob) Hanks

ROBERT (BOB) HANKS, age 76, of Winnebago, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at his home. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. Bob Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation time will be from 3:00 6:00PM Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago, and 1 hour before at the church.. Web tributes may be left at www.spencerowen.com He was born March 8, 1937, at Winnebago, the son of Harlan & Grace (Lair) Hanks. He graduated from Winnebago High School, and the University of Minnesota School of Agriculture. On April 13, 1958 he married Yvonne Spore at Winnebago, MN in the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Bob worked in construction, trucking, and farming retiring in 1996. He enjoyed working with his hands, hunting, racing, flying, raising and showing livestock, and spending the winters in Florida. He is survived by his spouse, Yvonne Hanks of Winnebago, his son, Brian Hanks of Winnebago, his daughter, Bonnie Hellman of Longwood, FL, his brother, Marshall Hanks of Aurora,CO, his sister, Shirley Leagjeld of Winnebago, his granddaughter, CharLeigh Hellman of Longwood, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Jeff in 1997.
