Thomas “Bear” Butler was born and raised in Winnebago on the Hanks farm. He spent most of his youth working on the Butler farm walking beans and bailing hay. He worked numerous jobs through-out his life, including construction, concrete work, and most recently drove a truck for Burrhead. He also spent a few years in Gainesville FL working for Winnebago Drainage. He enjoyed spending time with friends’ road-tripping and hanging out. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and feeding the birds. His hunting escapades were known to involve napping in the sunshine. Holiday meals with the family ending with leftovers making him smile. He enjoyed his nieces Natalie and Lacey, nephews Nate, Brady, and Dylan, and great-nephew Sean.
He is survived by his mother, Jan Butler of Winnebago, his sister, Deb (Jack) Hansen of Mankato, his brother, Cubby (Donna) Butler of Arbor Vitae, WI, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Bob, and grandparents.
