Dale Leroy Wiederholt, age 70, of Winnebago, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at St. Lukes Care Center.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012, at 11:00 AM, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. Bob Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Blue Earth. Visitation time will be from 4:00 to 7:00pm Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 6th Ave SE in Winnebago, and 1 hour before the service at the church. He was born October 10, 1941, at Blue Earth, MN, the son of Theodore and Elaine (Henke) Wiederholt. In 1959 he graduated from Blue Earth High, where he was an outstanding wrestler. On July 15, 1960 he joined the United States Navy, and was honorable discharged on July 14, 1966. He married Kathleen R. Kogel, July 22, 1967 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. Together they had 3 children Michelle, Tom, and Chad. Dale worked
various management jobs in retail from Dale’s Jack & Jill, Tempo Stores, Pamida, and finally Wal-Mart.
He was a Boy Scout Leader, member of Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, loved bowling, yard work, fishing up north at the cabin, the Blue Earth “Bucs”, and was very passionate about his grandchildren.
