Myrtle Digman, age 82, of Winnebago, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at Parker Oaks in Winnebago. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, with Rev. Lois Able officiating. Burial will be in Nashville Cemetery. Myrtle was born August 25, 1928, in Winnebago, the daughter of Paul and Eva (Masters) Winch. She was a 1947 graduate of Winnebago High School and was married later that same year to James B. Digman on August 4, 1947 in Winnebago. James worked with the rail road, so the couple moved frequently. They spent nearly 20 years in Selby, South Dakota where Myrtle was a homemaker and was active in the United Methodist Church. She raised her family there before moving to Mason City, Iowa in 1971. The couple finally retired to Winnebago in 1980 where Myrtle was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her flower gardens but her great joy was time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Myrtle is survived by her husband, James Digman of Winnebago, her son, Steven Digman of Minneapolis, her son, Jack (Debra) Digman of Rosemount, her brother, Paul (Rosemary) Winch of Rice, her brother, Bill (Pat) Winch of Arizona, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son-Larry Digman and sisters, Bonnie Winch & Betty Ehlers.
