THOMAS ROBERT YEAGER, age 74, of Winnebago, died Monday, April 25, 2011, at Parker Oakes Nursing Facility where he has resided for the past six years. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 07, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church in Winnebago, with Rev. Tom Butler officiating. Burial will be at a later date arranged by the family. TOM was born January 6, 1937, in Faribault County, the son of Fred and Abbie (Moberg) Yeager. He grew up one of eight children. Tom was involved in the family farming operation with his Dad and brother near Delavan for 30 years; they continued farming near Bruton in 1958 until his Dad passed away in 1973. In 1973 Tom came to Winnebago and worked for Wbgo Manufacturing, and took care of his mother until her passing at age 86 in 1982. It was Tom’s thoughtful care of his mother that enabled her to stay at home her entire life. Tom loved music, he was a social and outgoing man, he always seemed to have few worries, and considered everyone a friend.
THOMAS ROBERT YEAGER is survived by his Sisters, Virginia Midthune of Lake Crystal; Mary (Harold) Matteson of Brownfield, TX, and Sally Yeager of Winnebago. Also his Brother, Roy (Jean) Yeager of Blue Earth, and several nieces and nephews.
TOM was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brothers James Yeager (Betty) in 1948, and Fred Yeager, Jr. (Lois) in 2005, his sister Mari Marks (Harry) also has passed.
